FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOW-COST CALENDARING AND SCHEDULING ON THE INTERNET
CYBERSCHEDULER FOR LINUX v2.1 -- NOW AVAILABLE
SANTA CRUZ, CA (June 23 , 1998) -- CrossWind Technologies, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of CyberScheduler for LinuxTM v2.1.
CyberScheduler for Linux is the ideal Internet-based calendaring and scheduling solution for workgroups. CyberScheduler for Linux includes the same robust backend calendar server used in the SynchronizeTM solution, CrossWind's flagship calendaring software for the large enterprises. With CyberScheduler, end users enjoy full workgroup scheduling functionality through their Internet browser, such as Netscape NavigatorTM or Microsoft Internet ExplorerTM. CyberScheduler's immediate advantage is its low cost and ease of installation. Requiring only the "free" ApacheTM web server, CyberScheduler for Linux is "ready, right-out-of-the-box" -- with no proprietary messaging infrastructure required, unlike most other calendaring and scheduling products on the market today.
CyberScheduler for Linux has been packaged to support Apache web servers running on all the major Linux distributions such as Red HatTM, S.u.S.E.TM and SlackwareTM. The installation process has been significantly streamlined with the new version 2.1, supporting both RPM and TAR installations.
Once CyberScheduler is installed, users will find the product easy to use with no need for any training or lengthy tutorials. Real-time productivity features include the ability to schedule meetings, delegate tasks, manage to-do lists and distribute reminders ... in short, everything they will need to increase productivity and communication throughout their workgroup or entire organization.
PRICING
Unlike most server software on the market today, there is no additional charge for any of the software, including the calendar server software and is simply based on the number of users. CyberScheduler for Linux retails for a modest one-time price of $49.95 per end user and is now available for purchase through Linux MallTM on-line at http://www.LinuxMall.com/products/00732.html.
