Calendar View
Your entire day at a glance (screen Shot)

When you first start CyberScheduler, the day view is displayed. The calendar view displays your schedule (meetings, tasks and reminders) for the current day, week or month depending on the icon you select. Detailed information about any item on your calendar is quickly obtained by clicking on the item.

Toolbar

A toolbar of icons at the top of the calendar view allows you to choose CyberScheduler functions:

  • In Box- Look at new calendar items.
  • Day- Display calendar view for one day.
  • Week- Display calendar view for one week.
  • Month- Display calendar view for one month.
  • Browse- Look at another user's calendar.
  • Proxy- Read and write in another user's calendar.
  • Go-to- Display another date in the calendar view.
  • Find- Search for specific calendar items.
  • Security- Set a personal password and calendar permissions.
  • Help- Read about how to use CyberScheduler.
Navigator

The navigator section of the calendar view allows you to rapidly move to any date. You may click on a specific date in either of the two small calendars. The one on the left is the current month; the one on the right is the next month. You can also see the name of the user whose calendar is open, the day and the date. A Today button and left and right arrow buttons move the calendar to today, the prior day or the next day. Finally, a line of links allows you to click on any month this year or the current month in any of four years.

Links for Calendar Items

The title of each calendar item is a link, which means you can click on it to display the tabs for that item. You may also click on an attribute icon (recurring or notes) adjacent to a calendar item to directly display that tab for the item.

Meeting Coordination

Schedule a meeting in minutes. (screen shot)

Setting up and managing meeting attendance is a breeze with CyberScheduler. You can immediately see from a list of participants who is available during a specified time frame. CyberScheduler will even locate a time when all your invited users are free. Once you've scheduled the meeting on CyberScheduler it immediately shows up on all invitees' calendars. The participants list now keeps track of attendance and lets you view how users have responded to a scheduled meeting.

See Busy Time of Selected Users.

To see a graphic display of users' busy time (time already scheduled for meetings), click Show Busy Time. The button changes to Hide Busy Time. CyberScheduler displays the current week in half-hour blocks of time (from 6 am to 6 pm) with today highlighted. Free time among the selected users in the participants list is green; busy time is red. To hide this display, click Hide Busy Time.

To-Do List

Organize and manage your workload. (screen shot)

In addition to personal tasks, CyberScheduler provides group task management to delegate and track completion. To-do list items are prioritized by the originator. Tasks not marked complete roll into the following day's To-do list.

Notes

Attach notes to any calendar item. (screen shot)

A note is a text file, such as an agenda, and can be attached to any calendar item. The notes icon will display next to a calendar item when one or more notes have been attached.

Recurring

Create repeating calendar items. (screen shot)

All calendar items can be automatically set to recur at a regular interval. The choices are daily, work-daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually.

Tabs

To easily create new calendar items.

Tabs for participant lists, shared notes, recurring and permission control are used to quickly navigate through the process of adding a new calendar item or to retrieve information about any existing calendar item.

In Box

Notification of new calendar items. (screen shot)

The In Box is a display of new calendar items (meetings, tasks, reminders and notes) that you have not yet viewed. It includes 2 weeks in the past and 4 weeks in the future from the current date in the calendar view.

Browse

A quick look at another user's schedule. (screen shot)

You may browse the schedule of another user if they have granted you permission. The details of confidential or private calendar items are not available when you browse another user's schedule.

Proxy

Calendar scheduling on another user's behalf. (screen shot)

If you have been granted proxy permission by a user, you may read any item in that user's schedule and create meetings, tasks and reminders as if you are that user.

Go To

Access your calendar for any date. (screen shot)

Go To is another method for quickly displaying a different date in the daily, weekly or monthly calendar view.

Find

Retrieve any calendar item by title. (screen shot)

Find searches your calendar within a range of dates and lists the found items. CyberScheduler will take you to any item on the list. You simply select the item and click the Go To Selection button to view that item.

Security

Permission/access control. (screen shot)

An optional personal password controls who may log in to your calendar. You can also grant other users varying levels of access including Browser, Scheduler or Proxy. Allowing or disallowing overbooking and setting your workday hours are also done through Calendar Permission.

Help

Easy to use on-line help. (screen shot)

On-line help explains how to use CyberScheduler. Help is conveniently accessed from the toolbar. You may also click Show Help in any tab view to display a help dialog for that tab.
